Marie-Christine Oghly, World President of Women Entrepreneurs (FCEM), presents the association’s 70th World Congress, held in Paris from 15 to 17 November 2023. It was the first time in more than 40 years that the congress took place in France.
A worldwide network of women entrepreneurs
Born in France in 1945 and international since 1957, FCEM represents one million women business owners in more than 70 countries. It lobbies institutions as an observer member at the United Nations and the European Parliament in Strasbourg, works on women’s empowerment, and offers mentoring to help women entrepreneurs grow their businesses, whatever their country of origin.
Three days to debate and build ties
More than 800 women business owners from 70 countries were expected for three days of discussion on the future of the planet, climate change, artificial intelligence and cybercrime, issues that are part of their daily work. For Marie-Christine Oghly, who is French, hosting the congress was an honour for the country. Beyond the debates, she invited participants to use the event to strengthen their connections, build solidarity and develop their businesses.
